Two kinds of checks keep lenses and effects safe and light: the rules your workspace may have, and the package limits that every item has.
A rule profile is a set of rules assigned to a workspace. The IngevoraMirage team sets profiles up and assigns them; you can't change them in the editor. A workspace has one profile or none. Each rule applies to one product:
A rule your profile doesn't set is not checked. Flashing limits protect people who are sensitive to flashing light.
When rules apply to the item you are editing, the studio header shows a chip such as Rules: Studio One, with the name of the profile. A face lens shows the chip only for face-lens rules, and a screen effect only for screen-effect rules. No chip means no rules apply.
The mouth zone is an oval over the lips. The eyes zone is a circle on each eye. When your profile keeps a zone clear, no face sticker, no animated sprite on a face anchor, and no starting point of face particles may overlap it.
In the face viewer, the zones are drawn on the tracked face as dashed red outlines. Show keep-out zones hides or shows them. They are only a guide in the studio and never appear in the lens.
An issue names the profile, the layer and the zones, for example:
Rule profile "Studio One": layer "mask" overlaps the mouth and eyes keep-out zones on the reference face.
To check these rules, the studio plays the whole effect on a reference phone screen, the same way the server does. It assumes your app sends every event the triggers listen to right at the start, which is the worst case.
For example:
Rule profile "Studio One": 6 flashes within one second from 0.40 s (flash motions "strobe", "boom"); at most 3 are allowed.
The studio checks your rules as you edit and lists any problem in the Issues tab. Click an issue to select its layer or clip. For a screen effect, the rule check runs half a second after your last edit, because it plays the whole effect.
Validate and Publish check the rules on the server too. If an issue remains, the publish is refused: nothing is published, and the editor says "Fix the issues before publishing." If the studio can't load your profile, it says the live check leaves the rules out; Validate and Publish still apply them.
Rules don't stop Test on phone, so you can try work in progress. A profile assigned later doesn't re-check versions that are already published.
Every item has these limits, whatever its rules:
Images are PNG only. The image limit counts the images your layers use; the status bar shows how much of it you have used, in orange above 90 %. A sprite sheet holds up to 256 frames, and a screen effect lasts from 100 to 10 000 ms.
